Throughout my hygiene education, I have learned and grown a lot as a person and as a hygienist. In this profession, it is important to be able to continuously grow and expand your knowledge while also being willing to learn new things. No hygienist is perfect and knowledgeable in everything and it is important to be able to take critique and learn from it. It is also important to note that there are many other career options other than the traditional clinical setting and expanding knowledge in other aspects of dental hygiene can help have access to these other careers. Additionally, throughout the past two years, I have completed many different continuing education courses and I will continue to keep up with new education and courses to better my knowledge and understanding of dental and oral health.
